Below are some suggestions for the city and county, and you can search in depth on our main site for Nottingham bars and restaurants.
Nottingham restaurants
One area where Nottingham certainly doesn’t disappoint is for a good curry. The city’s emerging curry quarter around Maid Marion Way is host to some fantastic venues including Memsaab, Cumin and the Curry Lounge.
We’re proud to have some outstanding French restaurants too - Le Bistrot Pierre, Petit Paris and Le Mistral. YO! Sushi is a Japanese sushi bar, Las Iguanas serves up a taste of South America and at World Service you’ll receive award winning contemporary cuisine. You really can find world cuisine in Nottingham.
For the gourmet lovers we have our very own Michelin starred chef, Sat Bains, whilst Hart’s and Merchants also have excellent reputations and you can stay over at all three venues if you fancy tasting a little of gourmet breakfast too.
Out in the county we’ve got some beautiful and original restaurants such as Perkins, housed in a former Victorian railway station in Plumtree. Lambs at the Market in Mansfield is housed in a Grade II listed building and serves local produce. The Waggon and Horses is located near the picturesque town of Southwell and serves up it’s now famous Nottinghamshire pie.
You can choose your preferred food type and location through our eat and drink search.
Nottingham bars
For an evening out on the tiles, Nottingham has a great mix of smart local and chain bars. Try the pub in the city centre with a local feel - Langtry’s, or head to the top of the nearby Cornerhouse for the well regarded Saltwater. We are home to the oldest pub in England, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem.
At Chapel Bar you’ll find great cocktails at Tonic and the nearby Malt Cross has the setting of a former Victorian Music Hall. The Lace Market is popular with night revellers and the Living Room has a relaxed and stylish atmosphere. For a laugh there’s a Jongleurs comedy club at Waterfron Plaza and you can dance the night away at Oceana.
